Congress is the cause of the high gas prices. Unless Congress knew a legislative path direction drilling in Alaska and pays for our coast, construction of new nuclear power plants, using more coal, more natural gas use and expansion of our refinery capacity eventually you $ 10 a gallon for gas. If only this once we not Congress to act in the national interest, must we Give the entire legislative power the boat and a fresh new take sides.
In fact it was time to start securing our energy future 12 september. Unfortunately, George Bush Congress blew that opportunity and instead started a war with a country that didn't attack on us-Iraq.
This time the stakes for Congress and President disability have gotten much higher. We have stumbled upon a perfect storm. Thanks to the sub prime credit grantor debacle has a heavy blow our economy. Congress screwed up in two ways on this one. In the first place Congress encouraged lenders to lend to people who could not afford to pay back the loans. Secondly, Congress failed in his capacity as supervision to keep an eye on unscrupulous lenders.
The poorly-conceived effort to corn ethanol was a double whammy. In the first place because more energy making ethanol from corn should, then we get when we the ethanol Burns, we lose every time we fill our tanks. Secondly, by turning food into fuel, we have helped increased food prices worldwide. In some countries have high prices causing food riots. This stupidity is upon us, commissioned by Congress.
The third part of this perfect storm was, oddly enough, not caused by that insane clown posse on Capitol Hill. However, like any other part of the storm, it has two aspects. The first is Peak Oil. There is a theory that says something like, the total amount of drillable oil is discovered or will be. And that, moreover, now or in the future, the quantity of oil that are available in the world will decrease. The second part of this problem is the demand curve. With the development of India and China, is greater than the total demand for oil already comprehensive offer. So not only does the falling dollar oil high, that the law of supply and demand, the price even higher.
To date, the congressional incompetence only led in a recession. Further Congress stupidity will lead us into a depression for certain. It takes years for a nuclear power plant, or a new oil refinery to build or retrofit of existing plants to burn more coal and natural gas. We need these idiots in Congress to act now to get the path to our energy future. If only Congress lubrication of the palms of their wealthier voters could stop, running for re-election or attempt to participate in a sex scandal with anything that moves, consider they act in the interests of the nation. I say fat chance.
All Congress give their walking papers. Tell them why they were being fired. Let the next bunch of losers and liars who we have chosen the House and Senate choose know play time. They have as little as five years to act in the interests of national and economic security of the United States or we can see a time when even a second rate nation was a fond memories. Nobody wants the dollar more. What kind of idiot you have to overlook the importance of that?
