By and for the unemployed unemployment benefits information

The "great recession" unemployed are organizing OpenCongress online to share resources, support and documenting what Congress is doing to extend (or not) of unemployment benefits.
Here is the State of things in the Congress: Obama of the President and Congressional Republicans hit treatment a few days ago that they could prolong the current regime of extended benefits of unemployment - which last for different lengths for different States, depending on how bad recession there - until January 2012. States with the worst unemployment rate would still have a maximum of 99 weeks of unemployment benefits, but commitment would allow those who have become unemployed weeks 99 to continue receiving unemployment benefits until the expiry of the time. No additional; benefit were added simply kept benefits stimulus level unemployment until 2012. Extended unemployment benefits were about to expire on 11 December 2010. The compromise package also contained a series of tax cuts: cancellations of purchase of equipment for enterprises and various small tax credit bill caliber from the stimulation of an extension of two years of the Bush, a two years, estate tax cut tax cuts a temporary outage in two years at the rate of tax payroll. (See this PO blog post for more information).
On Thursday, however, in the House Democrats voted against package compromise containing extensions of unemployment, expressing their discontent by tax cuts played for those over 250,000 dollars and the estate tax cut. With the regime of extended due to point benefits expire on 11 December, is not clear what measures will take Congress, if any.
Where does that leave the unemployed? As well, the "99 ' ers" in the affected States are beginning to run the benefits and the unemployed more recently won't benefit extended first. However, are trying to help each other here in OpenCongress. The Bills of unemployment, as the "Americans Want to work Act" comment threads have become unemployment chat rooms de facto. Also created BenefitWiki draft Po Wiki to compile resources for the unemployed, track legislation and staying at different levels of unemployment eligibility in different States.
